This Privacy Policy describes how Sellyd bv, operator of Foodguide (foodguide.be), collects, processes and protects personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and applicable Belgian legislation.

2. What personal data do we process?
2.1 Account data (producers & retailers)
- Name and first name of the contact person
- Professional email address
- Company name and company registration number
- Billing address
- Phone number (optional)
- Password (stored in hashed form)
2.2 Usage data
- IP address and browser information
- Date and time of login and actions on the platform
- Downloaded product sheets
2.3 Communication data
- Email correspondence with Foodguide / Sellyd
- Support tickets
2.4 Payment data
- Billing data (name, address, VAT number)
- Payment status (no full payment card data — payment processing via certified external partner)

4. Retention periods
Sellyd does not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected:

5. Recipients and data transfers
Sellyd shares personal data only with:
- Hosting and infrastructure partners (servers located in the EEA)
- Payment processor (PCI-DSS certified, EEA)
- Email service provider for transactional emails
- Accounting and invoicing software
- Public authorities where required by law
All processors are bound by a data processing agreement in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. No transfers to countries outside the EEA take place without appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decision).
6. Rights of the data subject
Every user whose personal data Sellyd processes has the following rights under the GDPR:

Sellyd responds to requests within 30 days. For complex requests, this period may be extended by a maximum of 60 days, with notification.

7. Security
Sellyd takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure or alteration. This includes:
- TLS encryption for data transfers
- Encrypted storage of passwords (bcrypt or equivalent)
- Access control based on the need-to-know principle
- Regular backups and security audits
- Data breach procedure in accordance with Art. 33-34 GDPR
8. Cookies
Foodguide uses cookies. Please refer to our separate Cookie Declaration for a full overview of the cookies used, their purposes and how you can manage your preferences.
9. Minors
Foodguide is exclusively intended for professional users (B2B). We do not knowingly collect personal data from persons under the age of 18. If we become aware of such processing, the relevant data will be deleted immediately.
10. Changes
Sellyd may update this Privacy Policy at any time. The most recent version is always available at foodguide.be. In the event of material changes, registered users will be informed by email.
